Frank Murphy enlisted on 17.7.41 and was discharged on 3.9.45.  He completed Wireless and Bombing and Gunnery training in Canada leaving for the UK on 1.7.43.

He arrived in Egypt on 7.3.44 and served with 459 RAAF Squadron from 14.8.44 arriving back in UK on 14.3.45 for conversion to Leighlight Wellingtons but the Squadron was disbanded instead.  

 

There is no available Association or personal record of his 459 Squadron activities.  His wife, Patricia advised of his death (15.5.99) and of the information listed.
