The following
photos/information has been provided by Ross Singleton -
Canada - 459 Squadron

The above picture was
taken on Anzac Day in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada - on
Saturday 22nd April 2006. The parade was held in the Western
Canada Aviation Museum.
The Cenotaph in centre of picture
was made by the Parade Marshal, Gordon Ketch. He is a
member of The Wartime Pilots & Observers, The General Monash
Branch of the Royal Canadian Legion and The Down Under Club
of Winnipeg.
The two young men in uniform, one
Australian and one New Zealander, are students at The
Canadian Forces Air Navigation School in Winnipeg. The
Aussie is one of a group which is probably the last of many
Aussies who have attended this school as soon Australia will
have its own school. The other two holding flags are
members of The General Monash Legion. Allen Hansen laid the
wreath on behalf of The Wartime Pilots & Observers, you
will note he also read the requiem.
Today Allen was inducted as the
President of The Wartime Pilots & Observers Assoc. He is
the first NS President, we have had two Aussie Presidents
since our organization was formed in 1919.
I forgot to mention that following
the Anzac Service there was a pot luck dinner and a casino
night,
Also below is a copy of Order of
Service for the Parade.
