The Information below was provided to the Association by LAC Williams grand daughter

My granddad was Llewellyn Williams went out to N Africa as a wireless mechanic in the RAF. Then when they were putting 454 squadron together they needed planes and technicians. So Llewellyn, Tom Davies and other misfits were assigned to the Australians. He serviced the radios of the bombers the Aussies were flying. Then moved with them through Palestine and up into Iraq.

I remember small snipets of information from our conversations - his drive to Mosul, putting helmets on sticks in the desert to make it look like there were more people there, Seven Sisters Road in Cairo - he didn’t say too much about that! ðŸ˜‚​
